I’m always thankful anytime I get to capture a family’s maternity and newborn portraits, but Rafaela and Connor’s Ice Castles maternity portraits were even more special. For these two, the pregnancy they’d longed for wasn’t always easy. In fact, Rafaela was on bed rest most of the time. Despite that, she booked her maternity and newborn portraits with me in advance, ready to celebrate this incredible moment! As the end of her pregnancy got closer, we decided we were going to make sure those maternity portraits happened!! Around that time, I wound up having an opening to go photograph clients at the Ice Castles display and we decided to have her maternity portraits there! It was the perfect romantic spot for Rafaela and Connor to celebrate!

Ice Castles Maternity Portraits

Rafaela and Connor’s Ice Castles maternity portraits turned out to be truly magical! I’m so glad that I had a few spots open to be able to capture their portraits at this winter wonderland! Rafaela looked absolutely stunning in an emerald green velvet maternity gown with a fur accessory. And Connor in a suit and tie pulled their classic winter portraits together perfectly!! We even managed to get some snow while we were photographing their session – I mean, seriously?! What kind of winter magic is that?!? Whatever it was, we’re SO thankful! It made their winter maternity session that much more special! Rafaela and Connor were just so happy to be together, celebrating the upcoming birth of their little one. It was incredible and I’m still honored I could be a part of it!
