Some days I just can’t be

Some days I just can’t believe I get to work with some of the nicest, sweetest and prettiest people out there. I not only photograph local mamas but some that travel from afar. – Yes! it is totally possible to plan your session even if you live out of Utah!

Brittany and Kaden came all the way from North Dakota to have their maternity session while visiting family in Utah. Kaden’s mom, Shelly, contacted me first and arranged most of the planning. I was able to chat with Brittany on the phone and gather details on how she imagined and wished her session to be. We scheduled a meeting at the studio a few days before her session and I had put aside a few choices for her considering the inspo images of my work she had sent me. After trying a few gowns, we nailed down 3 beautiful choices in different colors and styles, perfect for the locations we had chosen as well.
Hair and makeup appointment all set and we just had to wait for the day of the session.

Such an adorable couple, and family waiting for baby boy sure to be spoiled rotten by grandma HA! I can tell already 😀
I really enjoyed the time we spent together and chatting with them about all kinds of life stuff.
It was a beautiful afternoon and evening shooting at the Utah Capital Building, and then we head out to the Great Salt Lake. We had an amazing end of the day with a breathtaking sunset that was the perfect background as we reached the water.
