I can’t believe Ava is already ONE! To celebrate her sweet baby girl’s first year milestone session, Brooke reached out to me about planning a motherhood session. We wanted to create a session that mimicked the style of her glamorous maternity portraits from the year before. When Brooke and Ava arrived to the studio, I knew we we were going to have a great time and that we had totally picked the right style to plan for! This studio motherhood session was a true JOY to capture and I can’t wait for you to see it (and fall in love with these images like I did!).
Studio Motherhood Session
Talk about two beautiful ladies! We started the session off with Brooke in jeans and sports bra, like we had started her maternity session. Ava looked adorable in a little overall jumper. She and Brooke had so much fun posing and laughing. I loved capturing how they interact together and what motherhood is like for Brooke. After a few more poses, we moved into their second look. Brooke wore a form-fitting black dress, just like her maternity session. And she looked amazing (in both sessions!). Ava curled up on her lap, hugging her mom and just enjoying the snuggles.
Motherhood sessions are so special to me. As mothers, I think we have a tendency to be the one taking the images of our kids and not being in them beyond selfies here or there. These sessions are a great time for you to connect back with your little ones and create images you’ll both treasure for years to come. It’s a chance to slow down and be part of a special moment with your baby again.
