When Angela and Jed let me know that their perfect baby girl, Sophie, had arrived, I was ecstatic! I couldn’t wait to meet the newest member of their family. Angela and Jed are some of my all-time favorite people. They’re just so sweet and absolutely perfect together. I feel blessed that I’ve met them through my photography. And now that Sophie has arrived, their family has gotten even sweeter! Her cozy studio newborn portraits are some of my favorites I’ve captured this fall!

Cozy Studio Newborn Portraits

We decided to keep a simple color scheme for Sophie’s cozy studio newborn portraits here in Utah. With the fall bringing the cool air around us, seeing Sophie all wrapped up and swaddled made us a feel a bit warmer! She was such a perfect sleeper for me!! Sophie is tiny but she was seriously so sweet. And how could she not be, with parents like Angela and Jed? I loved capturing all of the little tiny details she’ll outgrow so quickly – like her sweet lips and rosy cheeks!

Newborn portraits are so special to me. Your baby will never be this tiny again. And, frankly, with the sleep-deprivation, these days go by very quickly. I love knowing that I’ve captured these babies in this state for years to come. All of the little details – those tiny noses, the baby fingers, the little smiles… they’re all important because they’re YOUR baby! I hope that Angela and Jed look back on Sophie’s cozy newborn portraits for years to come with big smiles on their faces as they remember how little their sweet, tiny baby girl was.
