It is always a huge honor that a family lets me into such a sacred and special time in their lives. Being a birth photographer is a true blessing and I will never take it for granted.
The birth of baby Christian Carraway was nothign short of emotional.
Instead of me trying to find words to write this blog post, I will just copy and paste what Al wrote about it.
“My most recent BEST decision I’ve made: Getting a birth photographer.
I’m the last person who would feel comfortable with anyone in the delivery room that wasn’t my husband. The idea super freaked me out in waayyyyyy too many ways to count. I went back and forth about it my entire pregnancy but decided to just go for it.
I would forever regret not doing it now that I did (and totally regret not doing it for our 1st baby). If anyone is contemplating the idea-just DO IT. The pictures I got back gives me goosebumps & having someone there definitely doesn’t effect in any way the sacred & intimate moment. Completely forgot my photographer was even there and now I can forever re-feel what I felt when my son was born. It’s perfect. “
It was hard to narrow down my favorites to tell this birth story, so get ready for a flood of sweet images and you might want to grab a tissue too 🙂

“You have nothing in this world more precious than your children. When you grow old, when your hair turns white and your body grows weary, when you are prone to sit in a rocker and meditate on the things of your life, nothing will be so important as the question of how your children have turned out. … Do not trade your birthright as a mother for some bauble of passing value. … The baby you hold in your arms will grow quickly as the sunrise and sunset of the rushing days.” — Gordon B. Hinckley
